Med School/OACA Basic Research Lab Sunrise

Since May 2020, basic research laboratories associated with the Medical School and the Office of Academic Clinical Affairs (OACA) have been restoring basic research in accordance with the University of Minnesota's Sunrise Plan. Effective October 5, 2020, the Medical School and OACA basic research labs are now in STEP 2, which increases lab operations to 75% workforce return.

As the return to work plan is implemented, safety for everyone in our community remains the top priority of the Medical School and OACA and all employees should continue to work at home if they can. As has been the case since the implementation of the Sunrise Plan, returning to work on-campus in a laboratory is entirely voluntary.

All questions on the Medical School/OACA basic research sunrise should be sent to Peg Brown (brown489@umn.edu).

Thank you for your continued service to our clinical and research missions in the midst of the COVID-19 health crisis.

Sincerely,

Jakub Tolar
Dean of the Medical School and Vice President for Clinical Affairs

Timothy Schacker
