Disparities in COVID Response Task Force

Addressing COVID Disparities Across Diverse Communities

The Disparities in COVID Response Task Force is a collaboration with the University of Minnesota system across Minnesota health departments, local and regional health care systems and communities to increase COVID testing and vaccinations in diverse communities and reduce disparity gaps by coordinating and disseminating resources on testing, mobile care and immunization events.

Objectives driven by task force committees:

  • To identify barriers to testing and immunization in diverse communities
  • To identify and recommend culturally appropriate tools and promising practices to educate and engage diverse communities for testing and immunization
  • To develop a sustainability plan for continued engagement of diverse communities
  • To identify the appropriate locations and collaborations for testing and immunization
  • To promote and foster the collaboration of all of the various testing and immunization efforts within the community
