Programs with Global Clinical Placements
A major goal of the Global Medical Education and Research (GMER) Program is to help every medical student participate in a clinical or research elective during their 4th year (when they can contribute the most at the sites where they are stationed).
The School of Nursing enjoys many collaborative relationships with universities around the world with programs spanning the globe.
The University of Minnesota College of Pharmacy offers a range of global experiences for faculty and staff to assist with varying degrees of global health outreach, research and practice development activities. Every single learner can benefit from global experiences that add to public good here in Minnesota and beyond.
The School of Dentistry provides opportunities for students to gain valuable, hands-on experience through community outreach activities. The School of Dentistry has a strong commitment to community outreach, and community oral health activities are an important part of both the School of Dentistry's education and service mission.
