Project ECHO is an evidence-based digital tool for synchronous virtual "hub and spoke" connections. The 'hub' team is composed of specialists with expertise in a particular area and 'spoke' sites are composed of community providers, educators, or related stakeholders. The specialists and providers engage in an exchange of brief didactics and case-based learning on a theme often related to extending access to specialty care.
In this Workshop Series, representatives from the Office of Academic and Clinical Affairs and the Masonic Institute for the Developing Brain will provide the following:
Session 1: Introduction to the Project ECHO Model will demonstrate how Project ECHO can be used as a tool to promote outreach and specialty care access, with special focus on community engagement and a needs assessment to plan for your ECHO.
