The UMN Rural Collective is hosting an event at Itasca Biological Station on Tuesday, September 9 from 9:00am - 1:00pm. The agenda for the event will include an overview of the work of the Itasca Biological Station, local UMN Extension work in the area, and the work of the Rural Health Program. This event will also include time for networking and discussion. Breakfast and a light lunch will be provided.
The UMN Rural Collective is open to any UMN faculty and staff members who have an interest in rural health and other related rural issues. The Collective aims to to improve health, quality of life, and community resources for rural people across the U.S. by serving as a resource for the UMN system, community members, policymakers, the media, and others. It does that by maintaining an active membership list in order to help connect individuals with one another, and meeting periodically to share ideas for innovative work.
