Associate Vice President for Clinical Affairs Carolyn Porta, PhD, has been appointed the co-chair of the President's Initiative to Prevent Sexual Misconduct (PIPSM).
PIPSM aims for long-term culture change to build a University community free from all forms of sexual misconduct.
"Dr. Porta has been a valuable member of our Advisory Committee and co-chair of the PIPSM Research Subcommittee, and we are excited to have her continue with the initiative in this new role as she begins her two-year term," said Kenneth E. Horstman, vice president for human resources.
Porta is a forensic clinician and prevention scientist committed to improving the health and wellbeing of vulnerable individuals, families, and communities in Minnesota and around the globe. She previously co-chaired PIPSM's Research Committee.
