Bobbi Daniels, MD, has been appointed associate vice president in the Office of Academic Clinical Affairs (OACA) and will oversee and provide leadership for clinical practice. Daniels has served as senior strategy advisor for OACA since its inception in December 2018.
“Dr. Daniels already serves a critically important role on our leadership team. This change broadens her responsibility to include primary leadership of the clinical practice side of our work,” said Jakub Tolar, MD, PhD, vice president for clinical affairs. “In her new role, Dr. Daniels will partner with Associate Vice President Carolyn Porta, our clinical training lead, and Associate Vice President Bruce Blazar, our clinical investigation lead, to ensure full coverage of our mission.”
A professor of medicine, Daniels’ clinical areas of interest have focused on kidney disease and proteinuria. She previously served as vice dean of clinical affairs for the Medical School, co-president of M Health, and CEO of University of Minnesota Physicians.
