Call for Clinical Student Internship Applications

Our health sciences students learn together, solve problems together, and develop real-world working relationships. By training together, our students learn how to practice interdisciplinary care that can tackle the real-world, truly difficult healthcare problems.

The Office of Academic Clinical Affairs is proud to announce our inaugural internship program. We invite applications for an internship position during the 2020-2021 academic year; selected interns will be partnered with a clinical health care system and undertake a project focused on advancing interprofessional practice and education within the system.

Interns can be from any University of Minnesota program, with the main requirement being that interns are full-time degree-seeking students with interest in health care systems, interprofessional practice and/or education. Internships will be assigned over one or two semesters and will average 10 hours/week; length and time will be mutually determined.

Finalists will be scheduled for brief interviews in early October, with an anticipated start date later in October.

Selected interns will receive a stipend that will be applied toward tuition expenses and will benefit from health care system exposure, mentorship, and engagement with the Office of Academic Clinical Affairs and broader interprofessional efforts.

Application deadline: September 30, 2020
