UMN Faculty Provide Research Training in Cairo for Health Educators

As part of a University of Minnesota partnership with Kabul University of Medical Sciences (KUMS), Dr. Darin Erickson, School of Public Health, and Dr. Carolyn Porta, School of Nursing, traveled to Cairo, Egypt to lead a short course on research methods. The course discussed how to develop meaningful research questions, identify an appropriate data source/data collection method, and develop an analysis plan.

University representatives, along with representatives from KUMS and the Manipal Academy of Higher Education were also present to discuss the partnership's sustainability going forward.
